My Canon i 9100 printer by passes the point where it should stop for replacing the inks
Is this a major problem .or can it be rectified quite simply ?
It was bought from new and , up yo now has been a brilliant printer.

Are you saying the printer will not allow you to change the ink cartridges?

yes the ink cartridge holder by passes the stop zone and

Can you remove the power to the printer and wait 10 minutes (so unplug it from the power cable).
Then connect the power, turn on the printer and tell me if it now allows you to change the cartridges please.

it`s working again now,

It was the firmware that had an issue, and needed a hard restart. We did this just then. It will now be ok.
