Put the batteries in and try to gently push the lens inside. Don't try too hard. Be gentle. If it goes in then turn off the camera and then turn it n again.
Try to blow some compressed air into the retracted lens to remove any dirt that might be hindering
Is your camera under warranty?
Then the fauly is in the lens mechanism. Maybe the spring that retracts the lens is broken. You can get it reoaired in a local repair center but the cost will be high so buying a nee one now would be a better option.
