My MP250 printer is spitting out paper without printing.

Resolved Question:

Hi my MP250 printer is spitting out paper without printing.
I've tried all the cleaning recommended on the trouble-shooting page.
Everything worked except the print head alignment which only filled three quarters of a page (with very wonky colour stacks) and then stopped.
The printer either displays E.0.3 or E.0.2 as error codes.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Both the codes signify that there is a jam. Turn off the printer and check for any bits of paper or any foreign material inside the printer.

Turn off the printer. Remove the power cord. Press the power button for about 30 seconds and then put the power cord back and turn on the printer and check

The printer printed a page 'Results of diagnosis and repair printer' .
some of the print on this page is missing, and some of it it printed with the top half of the sentence in the correct place, the lower parts of the words moved to the right.

I'm a technophobe, so all I've managed is what was recommended by the 'trouble-shooting' page on my computer...nozzle cleaning etc. The 'print head alignment' was going well, with wonky blocks of colour being printed, but the process stopped at three quarters of the way through. Page wouldn't eject.

I just tried copying a leaflet and the print has come out wonky.

Leave the printer turned off for about 10 minutes and then try. I will give a trick which you will need to do if the results come same again

Oh dear,this 2nd leaflet print is worse than the first...print is sloping down from left to right, and there are black (quarter inch wide) 'tracks' through it.

You will need a thick paper (Something like a cardboard)

Now there's no (P.0.2) error code but the 'on' button is flashing alternately with the 'lightning' (yellow) light.

Watch the video and try to follow what is being shown. This will remove any paper feed problem, if that is the case.

I don't think it's paper feed (I followed the steps shown on a previous link), I think it's something to do with alignment.
Can I take the machine apart to investigate?

If you want to dissemble the printer then do it at your own risk as it could damage the printer which can be beyond reasonable repair.

Phew! That was like reaching down the throat of a crocodile!
The cardboard kept concertina-ing so I tried a piece of laminated paper. It went through with a bit of a struggle.
Now the code E03 is back.
I'm sorry but I don't know how to attach the coloured blocks picture.

Do you have the soft copy of the print with you? If yes, then mail me at***@******.***

Try pressing the Stop button (with red triangle inside a circle) for about 5 second to see if it makes the error disappear.

I just twigged...I could scan the leaflet and attach it.
But my printer won't let me!

Press and hold the Stop button for 5 seconds and see. It should reset the printer

Then I think you should take it to a local repair. I think most probably one of the roller got broke inside the printer. It will be a cheap repair.

I just switched it off, then on again with no paper.
Managed to scan the wonky leaflet picture.

This kind of print clearly shows that there is a roller issue which is causing misalignment while printing.
