Hello, I'm Dr. Deb.

I recently came online and see that your question about your dog hasn't been answered. I'm so sorry that you've had to wait for a response, but if you still need assistance, I'd like to help if I can.

I'm sorry that your girl isn't feeling well. Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) can be given to dogs as long as they aren't vomiting and aren't taking any other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. This drug can be toxic to cats so care should be taken if one or more are present in the household.
The dose would be 10-15 mg/kg twice a day with food to avoid stomach upset. A 45 kg dog would take a full 500 mg tablet at one time.

Another option would be Aspirin at at dose of 10 mg/lb twice a day, with food as well. A 45 kg dog would take two full strength 325 mg tablets at one time.

I'm sometimes hesitant to suggest use of over the counter n'said medication since it may interfere with what your vet would want to prescribe but one or two doses will cause no harm.

I hope this helps; again, my apologies for the delayed response. Deb
