Hello again and thanks for the photo. I have worked out an answer for you ... 1. No this does not look like a typical tick. But as a double check if you take a lens of any sort and look at this lesion in a good light you will certainly see the ticks legs if this in fact a tick. Look at the area where this lesion comes in contact with the skin. { take your time and make sure } If you see legs, perhaps moving then this is a tick for certain. But as I say I doubt if this is the case. 2. Whatever this is I doubt if it is much cause for concern, it could be a soft wart of some kind or perhaps a sebaceous gland cyst. Of course occasionally more serious diagnosis are possible so it would be best to have your vet check it over sometime over the next few weeks.I hope I have covered your question fully enough but if you would like further clarification or to talk things over a bit more then I will be on-line for the next hour or so and I will be more than pleased to continue working with you. Thankyou for your words of advise.

Do you recommend after further inspection if I come to the conclusion it is not a tick, that I should just keep an eye on it over the next week or so or would you advise to visit a vet tomorrow? I have attached another photo in better quality.

Thanks again

Hello again, If you see legs then get straight back to me and I will advise on tick removal, but what's on that photo does not look like any tick I have ever seen. As I say it is probably a minor sort of non malignant lump of some kind or a cyst, if so you would be taking very little risk in just monitoring it for a week or so but if things are changing such as changes in size, colour or texture then you would be best to have it checked over sooner. That photo is clear enough by the way ...
