Customer Question

We've just taken a 3 year old lurcher from the rescue kennels. He's fine, except when walking. As soon as he sees another dog he cries really loud and/or barks and pulls really violently at his lead. It's not obvious whether he wants to play or fight with the other dog(s). But it's making walks in our local park almost impossible.

How long have you had him?
Has he had any obedience training?
How is he around other dogs off the leash?
Are you worried when you see other dogs?
Have you tried anything so far?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

We've only had him for 24 hours

As far as we know he hasn't had any obedience training

We don't allow him off the lead because we're not at all certain that he'll come back to us

We are not at all worried when we see other dogs

We haven't tried anything so far, other than holding him back and being firm with him
