I cannot read my Kobo as a quarter of the screen is pixeled out. what can be done to cure this problem ?

Please remove your Kobo from the USB/Charging source, if it is connected to one.
Once you do that, please turn it over and find the small hole in the back.
Please carefully press it with a paperclip for 30 seconds or until you hear a click.

Once your Kobo comes back on, please let me know if it is working again.

Please plug your Kindle in to charge for 15 minutes .
Once the 15 minutes has passed, please turn it over and find the small hole in the back.
Please carefully press it with a paper clip for 30 seconds or until you hear a click.
Once it has reset, please keep it charging for 15 more minutes.

Once your Kobo comes back on, please let me know if it is working again correctly

If it is not working, please let me know how long you have had it.

No ... the top left hand quarter of the screen looks like broken glass with minute grey lines inter mingled with it . then about half way down the screen is a complete white out 90% across . the bottom of the screen is readable and the top right hand quarter is readable . However the reader says "powered off but the screen is not off . unresponsive to say the least !! incidentally the £28 has been taken from my account !! So , not a happy bunny !!!

about two years.... the last time it worked was about 10 days ago

I am sorry to say this, but it needs to be replaced.

It is no longer under warranty, so you will need to purchase a new one.

not satisfied with Kobo !! I would expect such an expensive piece of technology to last longer than 2 years !! tell Kobo I shall be replacing it with a Kindle
