I just downloaded a new book but it has not appeared in my library ,but when I go in to my library the last book is is still on view and when i go in to it it comes up cannot open it is locked or corrupted what do i do

If that does not work, can you go to Settings -> Device Information -> Factory restet / Reset device now, and continue
, then re-download/re-sync the kobo touch.

yes but all it offers is preferences, and ,about Kobo

Make sure you are at the main/home screen (the first screen when you turn on the kobo; press the Home icon), then tap on the 3-bar icon, then let me know what you see. Thank you.

Is it able to download/view your previous books?

Do you connect the kobo touch to Wi-Fi/wireless?

What's the brand/model of your internet modem/router device?

Or do you sync books with the Kobo Desktop program on your computer?

my kobo wont open now all I have is a white screen

Sorry, this could be a hardware issue. Can you press & hold the power on/off button again on the kobo ereader for about 30 seconds, then turn it back on and check/ If needed, charge the kobo.

If needed:

1. If possible, turn your eReader off.
2. Locate the small hole, if any, on the bottom of the eReader.
3. Unfold a paperclip and slide an end into the hole.
4. Press gently until you feel a click. Your eReader should restart
