I'm sorry about the issue. Is this a new kindle or was it working previously? Can you press & hold the power on/off button on the kindle for about 30 seconds, then turn it back on and check? Is it asking for the Wi-Fi/wireless network pin/key? Are you trying to connect the kindle to Wi-Fi/wireless?

does it give you another option, such as canceling it, and use the option to enter the key/password instead of the pin?

Can you enter any (wrong) pin a few times, and see if it gives you an option to reset / restore the kindle?

Swipe down from the top of the screen to show Quick Settings, and then tap Wireless.
Verify that Airplane Mode is Off. And make sure Wi-Fi is turned On.

If you have a windows 7 or 8 laptop or wireless computer, then please also confirm your Wi-Fi/wireless password on the computer:- Click on the network/wireless icon at the bottom right of the screen, then click on Open Network and Sharing Center. (Or click on Start, Control Panel, Network and Internet, Network and Sharing Center.) Then click on Manage wireless networks on the left. Then select your wireless network name. Then right-click on your wireless network name and click on Properties. Then click on the Security tab. Then select the box at Show characters. Then you will see the Network security key above it, that is your Wi-Fi/wireless password (it is case-sensitive).
