I'm sorry about the issue. With your description, it could be a hardware issue. But have you tried this: if you have any cover on the kindle, please remove it for now. Then press & hold (or slide & hold) the power on/off button/switch for about 45 seconds, then turn it back on and check. If needed, charge the kindle for about 30 minutes, then while charging, press & hold (or slide & hold) the power on/off button/switch for about 45 seconds, then turn it back on and check.

Is there any power / light at all? Is there anything on the screen at all?
