Hi,

I've done some research and my findings are a mixed; on the one hand you can connect an IPAD via the USB port, but it's unclear if the MIDI functionality will work with an IPAD, so I've contacted Yamaha to clarify.

In the meantime you could try the USB connection.

Best Regards,

Hi,

Yamaha have come back with the following:

To connect a PC or MAC to your Yamaha Instrument, we would recommend a Yamaha i-UX1,USB - MIDI cable which is available from most Yamaha Dealers (http://yamaha-corporation.force.com/dealers/UK) and the Yamaha Club (www.yamaha-club.co.uk).

http://uk.yamaha.com/en/products/music-production/accessories/usb-midi/i-ux1/

Your i-PAD Software should then show the i-UX1 as an available MIDI device for use with your Keyboard.

I think the PC/Mac bit is a mistake as clearly the cable is for Iphones/IPADs, etc.

I hope this helps.

Best Regards,

Richard
