Hi Jeff, my name is Rusty. I can help you.

First, remove your current copy of the software, and reinstall it. This works 90% of the time.

If you still have trouble, we can use different software that will give you identical sound quality, and is a bit more powerful.

Go to www.audacity.sourceforge.net/download/mac and install Audacity. Remove the check mark next to the Bing Toolbar during the install, or any other software that it tries to install. You do not need to install them to install Audacity.

Once Audacity is installed, open it. It's free, and will never ask for payment.
Click the red dot (record).
Play what you wish to record (on your Ion).
When the file is done playing, press Stop in audacity (or hit the spacebar).
Click File, Export, and save the file where you would like it. You can now use it with iTunes, your mp3 player, burn to CD, email, etc..., and it's compatible with any computer.

Let me know if you need more help! I'm great with the Audacity program, and many other digital audio workstations. If for some reason it doesn't record immediately, that must mean you're using USB. In that case, go to edit, preferences, and set your Ion as your recording device.

I do not want Audacity!! Havingremoved my software & reinstalled it three times, It still does not transfer to Apple. My box is a MIXMEISTER ION USB RECORDER.

Thankyou, xxxx xxxxxx

Hi Jeff, I understand your concern. Is the program not opening, or is it just not recording anymore?

Hi, sorry for the delay. We're in different time zones. Ion saves the files as .mp3. In order to get them into iTunes (which automatically changes the .mp3 files to .mp4), navigate to the folder where your songs are saved. Drag the songs to the iTunes window, and they will successfully be transferred to iTunes.

I installed Audacity I am sorry to say, And now all the sound on my computer has disappeared RUSTY!!!

I'm sorry to hear that, don't worry, we'll get it back up and running. Is the sound working in iTunes? The install of Audacity didn't mess things up permanently, but it may have changed a default setting. Depending on whether or not iTunes is working will tell me how to fix it.

Ok, it seems like your audio output has been changed. Don't worry, this can be fixed. Click the speaker icon, and make sure your computer speaker is selected as your output device. Here is a link with pictures:

Please tell me the results.

Rusty your solution to my problem was useless, and complicated and I have solved the problem by other means. I have also cancelled my subscription to Just, as it is no use whatsoever.
