Good morning Lorenz sorry about the delay as I had to go out yesterday and did not get back until very late. When I download the editor from the Roland site and then go to open it it says file not recognised or corrupt file and that is as far as I can get. Yes you can connect to my PC and maybe you can fix the problem. I have Java installed and 16 GB Ram also 1TB hard drive with just over 800GB free. Win 10 Pro. Many thanks Lorenz.. Regards. Tom.

Hi Lorenz,Just a little bit of information which might help you. I can now download the Roland fr3x editor and open it and adjust all the parameters and save them with a number to the desktop. Then I put them on a memory stick and load the stick in to the fr3x then select UST on the fr3x but when I press no 7 to load the set it says E0 3 error which means the file is corrupt. I am back! Thanks for your message and your patience. I am glad to hear you could fix the problem with the editor software already. Let´s see if we still need a remote-assistance in this case. Have you ever used the editor software before and were able to load patches you´ve saved with it into the Roland via a memory-stick afterwards? Have you possibly tried another memory-stick and are you "ejecting" the stick before unplugging it from the PC each time?

Welcome back Lorenz. Yes I did eject the stick before unplugging it and also used different sticks still no joy. I have tried it in Firefox, Internet Explorer and Chrome which I'm using now still no luck it looks like I'm not going to able to use it. Regards. Tom.

Hi again I meant to say that when I down load the finished edited program to the desktop all I get is a blank white square with the set number underneath it. Hope this helps. Tom.

thanks so much for your reply, it seems I understood it completely wrong then. Do you mean you still can´t load the actual editing program on your PC? What I understood was, that you now can use the editor fine on your PC, but the saved patches won´t load on your Roland?

that's right when the edited program is put on the desktop it is just a blank white square with the set number under it. When put on the stick and put into the fr3x it shows E0 3 which is a corupt file. Tom.

OK, this is indeed strange, so possibly the saved file is already corrupted after creating it with the editor you mean?

Can you check if those "blank white square" files on your desktop have any file-size? If you right click them, do they show up as 0 byte files?

I just checked the file on the desk top and it shows 11KB. Now some time ago I bought some files from the USE and they worked. I checked them and they also showed 11KB.

Hi again Lorenz well well after all that I just discovered that another part of the program has to be loaded that part came with the sets I got from the USA I have now loaded a small set to test and at last it works. Also sorry that you couldn´t attach the files, it has worked fine at least from the expert side (as we can´t see the customer interface part of JustAnswer). Is there anything else I can do for you possibly or is everything good now?
