Hello,

I've been working hard to find a Professional to assist you with your question, but sometimes finding the right Professional can take a little longer than expected.

I wonder whether you're ok with continuing to wait for an answer. If you are, please let me know and I will continue my search. If not, feel free to let me know and I will cancel this question for you.

Thank you!

Yes, I`m OK with that, as I need to know what to do, or the expensive

MRC unit is not much good to me.

Thanks

Hello,

We will continue to look for a Professional to assist you.

If you decide on a refund, or wish to keep the credit for a future question, then of course we'd honour it.

Thank you for your patience,

Adam

Hi. My name isXXXXX'm a camera repair technician with over 20 years in the business and I'll be glad to help you with your question today, but I'll need a little more information first.

What exactly is an "MRC" unit?

Hi Rick

The MRC is a compact flash card recorder which fits the Sony Z5camera

direct, or can connect via firewire cable to other camcorders.

( Try Googling.. Sony MRC unit )

To download the files as a continuous piece of video, Sony supply software which does this, working direct from the MRC only.

Otherwise, when downloading via a normal card reader, each clip becomes a separate file, which is a pain when editing.

My unit lists all the files to download, but instead of copying all files selected, as it did at one time, it just does nothing.

All the files can download via a card reader, so must be OK, so the

issue seems to be with the Unit.

Is this technology within your domain, as you do not seem to know of the Unit ?
