- Have you tried to unplug TV and connected video devices power cords from wall socket for 10 minutes to reset, replug and check?

Excellent, TV is fine and problem seems with cable / satellite box.
Please check HDMI cable runs from cable box to TV and make sure its plugged securely in both units.

Thanks, it does work now but the surround sound amp although switched on does not work. Can you help with this please ?

- Can you please check, is surround sound connected to TV or cable box for sound signal?
- Also, have you select correct input in surround sound system to get sound?
