My friend who lives in Canada has given me a gift --his Kobo touch--and I would like to transfer it to my e-mail address to enable the buying or downloading of new books. Is this possible ? Thanks

Hi,

Thank you for using Just Answer, My name is Carl, I will try and help you with your question.

You are able to factory reset your Kobo which would enable you to set it up as your own. You will lose any books that are already on the device.

To factory reset the kobo please follow these instructions.

  1. Press the Home button.
  2. Tap the
    Full Size Image
    Menu icon an the top of the screen.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap Device Information.
  5. Tap Factory Reset.
  6. Tap Reset Now.
