rwhill1 :

Hi

rwhill1 :

The on button should be on , but not flashing prior to changing the ink cartridge

rwhill1 :

so we need to establish why it is flashing

rwhill1 :

Are there any documents queued for printing?

rwhill1 :

as it flashes when it receives data

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Thanks for your reply, there were files in the print queue which I have now deleted and the on light has stopped blinking, however I am still unable to print anything or change a cartridge.

Many thanks for response

Hi Ed,

OK, that's good the steps should now be:

1. Ensure the document cover is closed and open the scanner unit
2. Press the Ink button - the print head should move to the ink catridge check position and the On light and Ink light flashes. The ink cartridge which is empty is indicated by an ink drop with a line through it.
3. Repeat 2. until all ink cartridges have been checked and where appropriate empty indications set.
4. Press In button again to move i to the cartridge replacement position.
5. Open the cartridge cover and replace the required cartridges.
6. Close the cartridge cover and press the Ink button - it will then take about 1 minute to charge the ink delivery system, the On light should stop flashing and the Ink light goes out.

Hope that works, if not let me know and I'll investigate further.

Best Regards,

Richard
