Your TV's audio should connect up to one of these 4 connections on your Denon, but we could use your TV model, and what inputs you are using that have no sound on them.
If you're using a Satellite or Cable box with the TV, or if you're trying to get sound from an internet application is also important too. That's because most if not all internet apps only provide sound to the TV speakers and it doesn't route its audio to the optical output on the TV set.
