I have a Galaxy note and there are coloured lines flashing accross the screen. The device is 1 year old .Please advise what may be wrong with it

I am sorry to hear that you are having this issue. There are a couple of things that you can try. Please follow these steps> Remove the battery and then hold the power button down for 20 seconds, then reinsert the battery and hold the power button for 10 seconds. yes, sorry about that, Try this please> Hold the power button down for 30 seconds. Then Press and hold Volume up and Power buttons until the Samsung logo appears on the screen.
3. Scroll to wipe data/factory reset by pressing the Volume down button.
4. Press the Power button.
5. Scroll to Yes -- delete all user data by pressing the Volume down button.
6. Press the Power button.
7. The tablet will now wipe all contents.
8. Press the Power button.
9. The tablet will now reboot to the initial setup screen.

Okay, try this next please> press and hold Volume Up and Power Button at the same time until the device turns off . Also try holding the volume up and volume down at the same time while pressing the power button for 20-30 seconds.
