We have a Samsung Freeview TV also a Humax HDR-FOX T" HD digital

Customer Question

We have a Samsung Freeview TV also a Humax HDR-FOX T" HD digital recorder. Over the past few days we are finding that various channels are breaking up. I have re-tuned the TV several times and it hasn't changed the situation. We have 3 more TVs which are working perfectly on all channels and can't understand what the problem is. We also had a new TV aerial installed about 18 months / 2 years ago. Are you able to help.

Hi,

Here's a couple of things to try:

1. Different and known good cables between the TV, Humax and the aerial socket.

2. Move the TV and Humax box to avoid interference from each other and any other nearby appliances or wireless devices.

Which channels are breaking up?

Are you saying that channels received by the Humax box break up too?

Are the other TVs closer to the actual aerial than the Samsung, could it be that the aerial signal is too weak by the time it reaches the Samsung, i.e. it has too many devices connected and needs a powered splitter.

Is it feasible to try swapping a working TV with the Samsung one to try to identify where the problem lies?

Best Regards,

Richard
