Please tell me its complete model number

9:28 PM

How old is it ?

JACUSTOMER-2yfcvvy0- :

its 14 month old but has not been used much, and the model is LG 32LS575T

KevinWhiteJA :

OK, have you also tried to use it in different socket ?

JACUSTOMER-2yfcvvy0- :

yes

KevinWhiteJA :

and no lights come on ? it is completely dead ?

JACUSTOMER-2yfcvvy0- :

completely dead

KevinWhiteJA :

was there a power failure and then this problem started ?

JACUSTOMER-2yfcvvy0- :

no

JACUSTOMER-2yfcvvy0- :

just went off and wouldn't come back on, changed fuse at first then new power lead, still no joy

KevinWhiteJA :

These units don't fail so early and usually come with 3 to 5 years warranty (you will have to check with the manufacturer to confirm this) the problem seems to be with the power board located inside the unit..more likely a bad component on the main power board..if it is under warranty I would recommend to get it repaired in that as opening up the unit and doing it yourself will void off warranty

JACUSTOMER-2yfcvvy0- :

the 12 months guarantee from currys has just ran out, so there is no warranty on it, I don't think

KevinWhiteJA :

OK, if you are willing to carry out repair yourself then leave the unit unplugged for around 2 hrs and then open the rear off the unit...check the power supply board

JACUSTOMER-2yfcvvy0- :

ok, do they have glass fuses inside like the older tvs???

KevinWhiteJA :

No..

KevinWhiteJA :

how good is your DIY skills ?

JACUSTOMER-2yfcvvy0- :

not bad, haha

KevinWhiteJA :

:) I understand however, all this is only recommended if you have electrical expertise and know how to solder/re-solder components...

KevinWhiteJA :

You can get back to me if you need any assistance and I will help with no additional charges.....Is there anything else I can assist you with today ?

JACUSTOMER-2yfcvvy0- :

ok

JACUSTOMER-2yfcvvy0- :

no nothing else

KevinWhiteJA :

You're welcome....Excellent feedback is appreciated if you are satisfied with my assistance....Have a Good Evening

JACUSTOMER-2yfcvvy0- :

ok

KevinWhiteJA :

Well that is what I thought

KevinWhiteJA :

As I said if you want more assistance I am still available

KevinWhiteJA :

are you willing to carry out this repair yourself ?
