My Sony KZ-32TSIE television, will go blank with the fault

Resolved Question:

My Sony KZ-32TSIE television, will go blank with the fault "No Sync", this sometimes goes away by turning the set OFF and then ON.

Hi there,

Try swapping around the Scart sockets to a different input on the TV.
If the "No Sync" problem occurs with all inputs, then the board which controls the input signals is likely going bad and will need to be replaced.

The "No Sync" problem occurs with all inputs.

Ok Alan,
Then the 'B' board which controls the input signals will need to be replaced.
These can be obtained from Sony, or through a TV repairer.
Alternatively, they are occasionally available on eBay.

Hello Pete,

What is the part number for the "B" board?

How much does it cost?

How easy to replace in the TV?

Regards

Alan

Hi Alan,
These boards can cost around £200 - you will need to check the part number printed on your own B board as they can vary.
It is a straightforward swap to replace the board if you are technically minded.

Hello Pete,

Is it easy to identify the "B" board when the back of the TV is removed?

Regards

Hi Alan,
The B board is a long board with microchips on it, similar to the following board:
