Hi, i have cable linked to my Panasonic TX-L32E5B TV. I've just bought a Sa'msung Blu-Ray player and although Ive apparently been able to set this up quite easily, the player shuts down a few seconds after starting.

Hello, I'm TV Tech1 and I'll be working with you to identify and help you resolve your problem.

Check your TV's menu for Viera Link settings turned on. Turn them off if they are, then see if your Blu Ray operates normally.

Thanks. It now seems to be working normally.

You're welcome, Viera Link is usually the problem causing DVD players to act strangely. I think page 73 of your instruction manual goes over those settings, but your DVD player will also have its own settings -- Samsung calls their's Anynet, Sony is Bravia Sync, other brands may refer to HDMI CEC (consumer electronic controls)

Some work together, some don't.
