hi i have 48" wega sony flat screen tv model # XXXXX

hi i have 48" wega sony flat screen tv model # XXXXX manu. septerber 2006.

when i turn it on , the green comes on and blink for 10 seconds then goes off. is this a big problem or what is the problem?

hi , it blinks 6 times thank s.

OK does it blink Red or Green

green 6 times , red 2 times every 5 seconds.while plug in.

OK..and is it the lamp or the power light that is flashing ?

yes the power light.

OK, two red blinks indicate an error code which means the unit is detecting high temp. inside.

KevinWhiteJA :

The problem is either with H OUT (Q8024) is shorted. (D board), +B PWM (Q8035, 8038) is shorted.

This is as per the manual however, checking the S2 board is also recommended
