I have a Samsung DVD-SH893M HDD/DVD recorder OK about 5 years

Resolved Question:

I have a Samsung DVD-SH893M HDD/DVD recorder OK about 5 years old but has stuff on it I want to keep. Problem is that the sound has started fading away after about 15 or 20 minutes. This happens on both recorded and live programs. Any suggestions. Jim R

Hello Jim,

I am Pete, and I'll be happy to assist with your question.

Sound fading after 15 or 20 minutes indicates a faulty component on the audio circuitry that is changing resistance as the recorder warms up.
It may be a faulty capacitor, or resistor, or some other component that is causing the high resistance when it warms up.
It will require a repair by a local electronics repair shop, and then it should be good as new again!

Pete.
