I HAVE JUST PURCHASED A DVD RECORDER PANASONIC DMR-EZ49VEB IT WILL ONLY RECORD 2 1HOUR PROGRAMES THEN TELL ME THE DISC IS FULL . I CANNOT GET ANY SENSE FROM CURRYS WHERE I PURCHASED THE ITEM I HAD AN IDENTICAL MACHINE BEFORE AND HAVE HAD AS MANY AS 6 PROGRAMES RECORDED HELP

Hi there,

A DVD can hold 1, 2, 2.5, 3, 4 or 6 hours of recording, depending on how much compression is applied.
The more compression that is applied, the more hours you can record for, but the poorer the recording quality will be. Around 2-3 hours is normal.
You will need to change the recording mode to EP or LP to record for longer - see page 28 of the user manual:
