Hi, welcome to just answer
In those 17 seconds does it heat at all ?
Ok, do you hear any different sounds from the unit ?
As it works for 17 seconds so it means the fuse and main power board is fine
the problem is with the High Voltage capacitor or the HV Diode
as there's high voltage inside the unit even when turned off so we don't recommend doing the repair yourself
OK have tried different power point just in case. Same result.
looking at the age of the unit it is better to buy a new one as cost of repair will be around £170 including parts
Many thanks Kevin. Thought age would be the problem (the unit not me!!). Your help much appreciated.
