i have recently bought a Digihome 50" smart tv from my local

Resolved Question:

i have recently bought a Digihome 50" smart tv from my local Co-op,and was very plessed with it till this morning when on switching on, it appears to be stuck on one channel, keeps turning itself of then back on, and will not respond to remote commands.

please turn off tv and unplug power cord

michelleclive :

now keep the on button on tv pressed for 10 secs

michelleclive :

wait for 2 minutes

michelleclive :

plug in power cord back in and check

michelleclive :

let me know if it repeats the same behavior or works fine

There does'nt appear to be a manual on/off switch on the tv

in that case after you unplug the power cord wait for 2-3 mins and then turn it back on and check

I have done that, and it is still the same

yes ad stiil turns off and then back on after a few seconds

please press menu button on remote and go to settings

check for the options and find one that says reset or load default

select that

it does'nt resond to the remote

is this tv connected through a surge protector

I don't know, is that an extra componant?

know its kind of a ups or vlotage stabiliser

its very easy to check that

does your tv connect directly to the wall outlet or is there a box in between

its connected straight to mains via a 13 amp plug

now as per what you have told and what we have tried it seems to be a memory IC failure

michelleclive :

since this a new unit and would be within warranty cover, i would suggest to get a service arranged for the unit which would be covered under warranty

michelleclive :

if i suggest any further steps that would include checking on the back panel connections and if anything goes wrong while you check that or a seal gets damaged or broken, it will void the warranty cover

michelleclive :

so it would be best to get this unit serviced

michelleclive :

you can contact the store from where you got it
