2) Select "Documents" in the left hand list
3) Long press the selected file that you want to delete, you will get various options in the Action bar
4) Select the delete icon (trash icon)

I am now having more trouble even turning the Tablet off!!

I have tried to install Adobe Reader on this tablet but Tablet will not allow me to change web sites !!

please try holding the Power and the reset button in for 15 seconds
after that turn it on

If I press the buttons as you say the tablet boots up in a few seconds
press the power button and home button together

I have got onto the Adobe Reader page in Google playbbbUT if I try to install Adobe I get a message" You dont have a device
yje latest statement by the tablet is LUDICROUE as I see the massage on my Yablet !!!

please follow the below sequence
Step 1. Go to Adobe website (URL http://www.adobe.com/). Step 2. In Adobe home page, click “Downloads” from the menu on top of screen to enter product downloads page. Step 3. In Adobe - Downloads page, click “Get Adobe Reader” from READERS AND PLAYERS on the right of screen to enter Adobe Reader X download page. Step 4. In Adobe - Download Adobe Reader page, click “Different language or operating system?” to enter Adobe Reader version selection page. Step 5. In Adobe Reader version selection page, there are three steps need to be selected in order to start the download. Step 1: select Android operating system. Step 2: select English language. Step 3: select Reader X (10.0.1) English for Android. Once selections complete, click Download Now button to start the download. Note: Wrong version/operating system of Adobe Reader will not be installed in your Tablet. Please make sure to download the right Adobe Reader for your Tablet.

go to "Settings"->"Apps". Select the application which is currently set as default. Tap on "Clear defaults". Now the next time you open a PDF file, the system will ask you which application you want to make default for PDFs. You can choose Adobe Reader there to set it as default.
I will have to get a pdf file and try. I have cleared the defaults. I will sendone from my pc
