Xperia U just stoped working

Resolved Question:

Xperia U just stoped working and now will only flash SONY then XPERIA until the battery is dead.

press and hold down Volume Up + Home + Power buttons at the same time. Then release the buttons when you see the Logo. Use the Volume Down button to go down and the Home or Power key to select. Choose the Wipe data/Factory reset option. Then Select Yes to delete all user data. Then choose to reboot the phone. -

okay, sorry about that. Do you have pc companion on your computer that syncs the Sony?

okay, try these steps please>
  1. open PC Companion Applications
  2. Before you connect the phone, please choose Phone Update and follow the steps on PC Companion
  3. At the menu, PC Companion will tell you how to connect the phone with PC Companion using USB cable and press the Volume Down button
  4. Finish the PC Companion step and until it doing Factory Reset to SONY XPERIA U ST25i to factory default Android operating system.

still not working puts me onto troubleshooter

ok, follow the troubleshooter and see if it will update the firmware. You may have to connect and reconnect the phone a few times.

  1. Open the PC Companion and connect your device to the computer.
  2. Scroll to and click Start underneath Support Zone.
    • Note: On first use, it will take a moment to start Support Zone.
  3. Click Start underneath Phone / Tablet Software Update.
  4. Click repair my phone / tablet.
  5. Review the information on the screen and click Next.
  6. Review the information on the screen and click Continue.
  7. Check the box and click Next.
  8. Wait while the latest software is downloaded and installed.
