My Kodak ESP C310 printer has the colour yellow missing from

My Kodak ESP C310 printer has the colour yellow missing from test page therefore when I print colour is all wrong

did you recently replace the black ink

michelleclive :

  1. On the control panel, press Home.

  2. Select Maintenance, then press OK.

  3. Select Clean Printhead, then press OK. The On/Off light flashes during the cleaning procedure.

  4. When the On/Off light glows steady, press OK.

  5. Select Print Test Page, then press OK.

  6. Press Start.

no. I have done this several already

did you replace a black ink recently

No the black ink is half full. This happened with the last ink so I put new ink in black and colour to see if it made a difference but no it didn't.

so only the yellow is missing on the printhead

To be honest I'm not sure. Maybe four years I can't remember sorry

ok now do you see the nozzles on the printhead from where ink comes out

Do you mean at the back

Yes it's all dirty

you need to use a cotton swab and warm water and alcohol and clean the nozzles ensuring they are not clogged

michelleclive :

once you have cleaned, then reinsert printhead and ink and run a printhead cleaning

no isopropyl alcohol

in warm water add few drops of alcohol

Sorry took so long printhead filthy but still no yellow

ok..well it seems that its clogged internally as well

this usually happens when ink accumulates inside the head and dries out...

that clogs the head
