When starting up things sound OK then ink cartridge box shoots very quickly to the left side and error message comes up

what is the error message that comes up

A printer error has occurred. Turn off the printer, then press on button to turn on. See your documentation

michelleclive :

remove the cartridge...turn off the unit....unplug the power cable...manually slide the carriage assembly\ printhead back and forth
also clean the rail against which the assembly slides with a tissue ensuring that there is no ink residue on it
clean the golden contacts of the cartridges and the printhead with a cotton swab dipped in little alcohol
once these steps have been done, blow some air in the printing area and in feed tray and output tray as well as near rollers to unjam anything stuck

as per the symptoms it indicates an internal fault with the printer itself...we have tried all of the cleaning and reset steps

No ink cartridge replaced in last month

now we have tried all possible manual cleaning and rest steps

since they have not made any change to the error, it seems that there is an internal error with the printer

fixing this would involve getting the unit serviced

either a sensor or the carriage has a startup problem

as this is a 6 year old printer, i would suggest to contact any local printer repair store and take a service estimate quote first

based on the repair cost you may then decide whether you would like to get this one repaired or opt in for a new printer
