Step 1: Tap Settings.
Step 2: Tap General.
Step 3: Scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap Reset.
Step 4: Tap Reset Network Settings.
Step 5: You will get a prompt warning you that this option will delete all network settings and return them to factory default settings. Tap Reset to continue.
Step 6: Wait while your iPhone resets its network settings.
I have done as you suggested but it is still not working. I actually stated in my first contact with you that I had already reset my ipad.

I am using BT Wi-Fi. I don't know what the security key is.
On the Hub 2.0, the network name (SSID) and wireless key is printed on a label on the back of the Hub. In this example, the SSID is BTHomeHub2-ABCD and the wireless key is 1234abcdef.
