I have done as you suggested but it is still not working. I actually stated in my first contact with you that I had already reset my ipad.

no

Expert:  *ElectronicsTech replied 2 years ago.
okay, this could be a problem with your home wifi. What is the brand/model of your router?
Are you sure you are using the correct network name and security key?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

It is a BT home hub 2.0

I am using BT Wi-Fi. I don't know what the security key is.

Expert:  *ElectronicsTech replied 2 years ago.
okay, thank you.
When you are trying to connect on the iPad, you will need to Tap on your home network name and then enter the Wireless Key.

On the Hub 2.0, the network name (SSID) and wireless key is printed on a label on the back of the Hub. In this example, the SSID is BTHomeHub2-ABCD and the wireless key is 1234abcdef.

Follow these steps on your iPad please>

  1. From the iPad home screen, select Settings

  2. Select Wi-Fi from the left menu and make sure Wi-Fi is switched on

  3. Look for the name of your BT Home Hub in any list of available networks. Your Hub's network name (SSID) is on a label on the Hub. Don't connect to 'BT Wi-Fi' or 'BT Wi-Fi FON' when you're at home. This is BT Wi-Fi's network for when you're out and about.
  4. Select your Hub
  5. The 'Password' is your Hub's wireless key which you can find on the label on the back of your Hub. Enter it carefully and select Join

  6. After a few seconds you should see a tick next to your Hub
  7. You'll see the 'Wi-Fi' icon in the top left-hand corner whenever you're connected via Wi-Fi
