My Samsung BD-E8300/XU Blu Ray FreeviewHD 320gb HDD has lost

Resolved Question:

My Samsung BD-E8300/XU Blu Ray FreeviewHD 320gb HDD has lost the stored channels,and now if i Auto Scan/Tune it scans all the wavelength channels but does not detect,save,store any channels.
Does this mean the Tuner(s) have packed up? or is it another software/firmeware issue.
I have just upgraded the software to version 1018.

- Have you tried to unplug Bluray power cord from wall socket for 10 minutes to reset, replug back in and check?
If not yet, can you try it now and reply back with the result?

- Have you select Country in Channel menu of unit then run Auto Tuning?

Yes,

I did that originally just over a year ago on initial Set Up.

It lost all channels recently and i tried resetting and selecting Country again and running Auto Tuning again but it will does not seem to pick up any channels and/or save any channels hence my original question.

This is very odd, can't believe the firmware upgrade took the tuner off, since I have never come across such issue so let me open the question to all on website and I hope some one will soon respond with helpful info.
You won't need to do any thing about this question, I'm opting out.

NO the Firmware upgrade did NOT take the tuner off!!,the originally Tuned & Stored stations disappeared.

I carried out the Firmware Upgrade after Resetting the box to manufacturers settings hoping to rectify the issue, i though i had made this clear in my original Question and indicating what i had already tried?

ah OK, sorry about misunderstanding.
Now it seems tuner failure in this player and if the unit is still under warranty then please call the Samsung as number would be written on warranmty card to get it replaced under warranty and if player is out of warranty then it would cost good money like Euro 75 plus tech labor to replace it, please check the following link to view tuner price...

Pretty much what i thought,not sure if it's worth getting repaired as it is out of warranty?

Very dissapointed with the product as it is only 18mths old (Maximum) and would not have expected this type of failure from such a reputable manufacturer
