Hi,

I am sorry to hear that you are having this issue with your iPad.
This may be a hardware fault with the iPad. We will need to detrmine if there is a software glitch first by resetting the iPad firmware to factory defaults.

Follow the instructions below to reset your iPad's settings:

Step 1:
Tap Settings.

Step 2:
Tap General.

Step 3:
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap Reset.

Step 4:
Tap Reset/erase all content and Settings.

Step 5:
You will get a prompt warning you that this option will delete/erase all settings and return them to factory default settings. Tap Reset to continue.

Step 6:
Wait while your iPad resets its settings.

Once the reset process is done, your iPad settings will return to its factory default settings. Your iPad will also automatically restart. Try checking the iPad screen again.

if I do this will I loose stored videos

yes, however with iCloud enabled the iPad/iCloud will save the videos.
Follow these steps if you have not already enabled iCloud> tap the Settings icon on the Home screen, select iCloud, then enter your Apple ID. Then make sure all of the items that you want to store is selected.

I have reset the I pad. this has not worked

I am very sorry, this sounds like the display has failed. Since restoring the software rules out it being software-related, you will need to take it to Apple or youror maybe a repair center to get the display replaced. I am sorry for this, if the purchase date is still around 12 months Apple will replace the iPad for you. Please let me know if I can help with any of this.
