Yes. To remove this error you have to perform MAC first and then re-program everything

nathan_mills :

Alternately if you do not wish to re program the register then try this:

nathan_mills :

Turn key to PROGRAM mode.
Turn power off at wall.
Hold RECEIPT FEED down.
Turn power on at wall.
When you see 'FFFFFFFFFF' on display, let go of RECEIPT FEED.
Press SUBTOTAL

If it doesn't then MAC and reprogramming is the only way.
