It is an Epson XP-212

As the first step put the cartridges in and then remove the power for 10 minutes to the printer.
Then plug the power in, turn it on and tell me if you still get the error please

I have done as you asked but still the red light is on .

Did you make sure Norah to remove all plastic from on the cartridges.
can you check them for this please.

It is the print head that has faulted.
A corrupted firmware can cause this. But we have ruled this out by trying to hard restart it.
I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the printer to have this replaced. It will be covered by the warranty if this has not expired, and the repair will be done at no cost to you.
