I have a Kguard NS801 CCTV system. The HDD light is continually

Customer Question

I have a Kguard NS801 CCTV system.
The HDD light is continually flashing indicating I assume that it is full or broken.
If full can I delete contents
If broken can it be replaced and if so is it worth it
Many thanks in advance of your response

Hi, I am A. Stevens here to help with your question!

Customer:

Hi Terry - thanks for using Just Answer.

Customer:

Is the light red?

Customer:

Has it always been flashing or just started to?

Customer:

Typically flashing red just means the HDD is being accessed...recording or playback

Customer:

Not necessarily that it is full or broken

JACUSTOMER-8qjtbyu2- :

Yes it is red and only recently started flashing accompanied sometimes by a "bleeping" noise which eventually stops but leaves the flashing light.

Customer:

Thanks for that info.

Customer:

Yes most likely the HD has failed.

Customer:

You can replace it with another.

Customer:

Do you have the manual for the unit? There is a diagram in there on how to do so. Otherwise I can also send you a digital copy.
