LE32R87BDX has clicking at startup problem so PSU board

Customer Question

Samsung TV model LE32R87BDX has clicking at startup problem so PSU board replaced as caps had blown. TV now Runs fine after several clicking start attempts then screen full of horizontal lines. This broken image gradually clears from top to bottom and broken sound gets clearer and clearer until tv is working well. it stays that way for as long as its on. It also starts it self up when its in stand by mode.

EEprom also replaced. and reset carried out.

Grab a meter monitor your 5V supply and 12 V supply off the PSu if there is little difference from the time the problem occurs till the time the tv starts "working well" as you put it if you see a large variation ....for instance when you first turn on the tv you have 10.5 v instead of 12 and it slowly climbs you have a defective power board if it stays pretty much solid 11.8 or above its good ...then it only leaves the "Main" or digital board at fault
Replace it ..and the tv should be back to normal
