I have just bought a GD11FVRSD32 Freeview+ Digital TV Recorder.

Resolved Question:

I have just bought a GD11FVRSD32 Freeview+ Digital TV Recorder. Although I have connected both aerial cable and a cable from RF Out to the television, I am unable to view the television when the Recorder box is not on. Is there something I need to do in order to access the television independently from the digital TV recorder box?

Hi there and welcome
The recorder needs to be on in order to transmit the signal through the box and to the TV.
If you wish to view it while the record is off, you would have to go direct from the outlet to the TV, bypassing the recorder. But with all recorders now days people will always have the recorder on and view the TV via this.
