Hotmail offers very limited options for password *****
i will list down all the options available that you may try one by one
If you have a phone tied to the account, you can try to verify your account with a mobile number (only available in limited markets at this time)

If the above does not work, try the below
Try to login to your account at http://www.live.com.
on the top right, click on your login name and then go to Account option.
over here you need to change your password ***** security question. Please ensure this time you use a complex password ***** is not easy to be cracked by someone else
if however, you are unable to access your account then try the below
try a password ***** by opening one of the below links
https://account.live.com/ResetPassword.aspx
or
https://windowslivehelp.com/PasswordReset.aspx
however, in case the above does not work then the last option would be to send an email to***@******.***
need to mention your email id, password, your name, phone address details, recently mailed contacts details etc
the more info you provide the better so that hotmail team can be sure that you are the actual owner of this mail
once you send in the mail, you need to wait for the hotmail team's response.
in case you have to adopt the last step, them my suggestion would be to also switch over to an alternate email with yahoo, gmail, aol etc as per your choice for the time that hotmail team processes your request
