I have a problem with my aSony TV I believe I have touched a button on remote and now I can only get a picture off a socket with cable being fitted which has a restriction on it of a round red circle with a line through it and a blue circle arrow revolving and tHe remote does not operate even to turn TV off

OK, have you tried to unplug TV power cord from wall socket for 10 minutes to reset, replug back in, turn it On and check if remote works?If not yet, can you try it now and reply back with the result?

OK, since reset doesn't work that indicates some thing wrong with processor chip on main board of TV that is why TV doesn't respond on remote or control button command, main board of TV will need to be check and replaced.This is good to know it is under warranty so please return the TV to store and ask for replacement, it doesn't look any wrong setting issue because Home button on TV remote or Menu button on TV itself should bring menu screen to change input source so TV can get Sky box video signal.I trust my input will help you out. I wish there was a way available to fix/ repair/ replace defective board due to hardware failure in TV through internet. I tried best to explain that it is not a wrong setting issue and a hardware related problem which needs real hands on TV.
