Samsung CLP680nd Color Laser Printer. Why when powered on

Resolved Question:

Samsung CLP680nd Color Laser Printer.
Why when powered on it says Initializing, then Ready, then Printing. It makes printing noise but does not print. Then goes back to Initializing. No error message!

Does it still feed paper through the printer? And this comes out blank?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

No, no paper movement,

Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.
Thanks Ronnie
Can you remove the power to the printer and wait 10 minutes to let all residue power drain. Don't just turn it off, but actually unplug it.
then plug it in and tell me if it now prints please.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Have already tried that as I moved it to my office and power was off for 20mins.

Thanks
Can you try to print with no paper in it.
tell me exactly what then happens please
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Says paper empty in tray 1.

then goes to initialize etc.

Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.
ok, flip the paper between your fingers to make sure nothing is stuck together, then put it in the printer and then try to print.
Let me know what then happens please.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

1 - message on pc screen says printed

another says 'preparing job ....

meanwhile printer continues to rotate with original activity of initializing etc..

I need to leave my office for a few hours, can I revert to you later?

Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.
ok, its pointing to the internal memory as faulting within the printer or an issue from the computer.
When you return, can you try to print from a different computer and tell me please if you still have the problem.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

OK, it just printed my page !!

will revert later.

Thanks.

Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

Hi Richard,

Back in office now, if I ask to print when 'ready' is on printer screen,

it first gives me PC message 'Loading a preview file' then when preview appears, I click 'Print' option and get printed page.

Mean while the rotation continues!

I have taken a 60 sec video of printer control panel showing rotation without any input from me. I will email it to you if you let me have suitable email address.

Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.
Can you upload it to
http://ge.tt
And provide me the download link please
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

I had problem getting video from my Iphone, however here it is on this link.-- http://ge.tt/9n3mC8M2ad

Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.
ok, the link is not working.
but is it still the case the paper does not feed through?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

if I ask to print when 'ready' is on printer screen,

it first gives me PC message 'Loading a preview file' then when preview appears, I click 'Print' option and get my printed page ok.

as printer is still going through original rotation, it goes offline, so when others ask it to print, it does not.

I need to get it to stop its perpetual sequence!

Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.
does this same thing happen for other people printing to it?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Yes, basically it is unusable as it is now.
Please re-try this http://ge.tt/9n3mC8M2 again.
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.
thanks, ***** ***** works and it confirms the problem
It is the internal memory that has faulted in the printer. Its crashing out after the printer after the print.
I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the printer to have it replaced. It will be covered by the warranty if this has not expired, and the replacement will be done at no cost to you.
