Hi I have a galaxy S4 mobile. I have always had the 'read receipt' app switched on for SMS and MMS text, but I never receive any. Why is that?

Hi. Welcome to justanswer.From the Home screen touch Apps.Tap MessagesTap the options menuTap SettingsTap Text MessagesCheck the box next to Delivery ReportsNow send a text message. You will be able to see a green tick at the bottom of the message. This means that the message has been delivered.I have attached images for your convenience.Thanks and please rate the chat POSITIVELY.

I received my 'delivery report' when I sent the text 4 hours ago.

Its 'read reports' that don't appear to be functioning.

My phone is not set up like this. I do not get 'options' when I tap 'message' in the apps.

Select your network manually and restart your phone and update me if the issue is still there.

Yes. Go to Menu-Settings-Phone network and search for available networks. Select your network provider and then restart your phone. If the issue is still there then i would suggest you to remove the sim card and put it in some other phone and check in that phone if you are receiving delivery reports or not. Revert for further assistance.
