If it is a hardware issue then the only option will be to get it repaired at a repair center. If the kindle is less than 12 months old you can get this done under the warranty.The only option to rule out the firmware in the kindle will be by doing a restore. If this is caused by a glitch in the firmware it can be resolved by a forced reboot, then your kindle will work normally again. Please try this on your Kindle>press and hold the power button for 20 seconds and then release.
