Thanks Alan
First step, please remover the power to the printer (disconnect it from the power socket) and wait 10 minutes
Then connect the power, turn it on and tell me if it still gives the error

sEEMS OK

It will be ok
It was the firmware that had an issue, and needed a hard restart. We did this just then. It will now be ok.

Sorry it is not working. I have been told the camera memory card needs formatting ,whatever that means!

Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.
you have a memory card in the printer?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

yes

Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.
ok, if you remove the card, then put it in the computer
Click start, computer
Then you will see the card listed
Right click on it and select format
Then put it back in the printer and tell me if it then works please
I can also do these steps for you, and have made a request via Additional Services. This is optional, and if you choose to do this, I can, with your permission, remote into your computer while you watch and do all these steps (and deal with any problems that arise during them) for you. Or if you do not choose to take this service, we can continue here. This is no problem at all. Just let me know please.
