ok, makes it hard as there are many providers.Are you able to press the [SUB] button on your remote control or by pressing the YouView button then going to Settings > Subtitles & Accessibility > Subtitles.

I own the t.v. as far as I am concerned I just pay for the licence. Can you give an example of you needs

The remote I have has a power scource at the top left hand corner, I use this to switch on and then choose the required programmes.

Richie there is no set top box with the t.v., All I have is a remote which switches everything off and on. The tv is a samsung, model Le32D400E1W

Look under Subtitle and turn off Sub Titling there please.

The menu button is the green 1 almost in the centre of the remote, all mine does ids comes up with picture adjustments

Look under the section Other Features and you will see the subtitle menu there.

The info I have recorded took off the back of the model

i.e. LE32D400E1W.

I feel that we are up against a brick wall, and should forget about

it. You can't win them all. anyway thanks for your efforts, I will have to try elsewhere

You are saying you cannot access the Subtitles as it specifies in the manual Melvyn?
It has no page numbers but is about halfway down.

I went back to "menu" and started at the top and worked my way down.

Some success, I have been able to delete the graphics, but to date I haven't

removed the verbals " he looks and smiles" etc.
