Delete your email account from that. Follow these steps:Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.Tap the email account.Tap Delete Account.Add your account again.

I cannot see the areas you are asking me to tap after the general heading

When you tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars, on the right hand side, you will find a list of the different email accounts that have been tied to your iPad. Select the account (that you are unable to access) you wish to delete and press the ‘Delete’ button. You will receive a prompt asking if you want to delete the account. I am attaching images for your ease.

I cannot delete the existing account. There is a message that saysimap mail outlook.com

Try downloading Microsoft Outlook App from itunes and sign-in with your credentials.

Also if you are having trouble deleting the account then go to Settings > General > Restrictions > Accounts (in the Allow Changes section) set to 'Don't Allow Changes' ? If you have then change it to 'Allow Changes'
