Thank you for your question, my name is ***** ***** I look forward to assisting you.
Please note, a rating is only needed when we are finished.
This is a fault with the mainboard and can be caused by residue power.
Can you remove the power to it (unplug it from the power socket) and then let it sit there for 10 minutes.
Then connect the power, turn it on and tell me please if the printer now functions.
Let me know the results please

Unfortunately this has not cured the problem , the error message is still appearing
Shall I leave it disconnected for a longer period?
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.
No, it confirms the issue
It is the internal mainboard that has faulted.
A corrupted firmware can cause this. But we have ruled this out by trying to hard restart it.
I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the printer to have it replaced. It will be covered by the warranty if this has not expired, and the replacement will be done at no cost to you.
I am really sorry about this, and if you have problems, or would like any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know.
And if you can take a second to rate my service, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Thank you, ***** ***** buy a new printer locally.
I presume that the £20 charge will be a one off payment
and I will incur no further monthly costs as I have not signed up
to the free trial (as far as I am aware)
