LCD TV Model No:TX-37LZD81 with Home Theatre Audio System

Customer Question

LCD TV Model No:TX-37LZD81 with Home Theatre Audio System Model No: SC-HTB10
installed approx 5 years.
Sound Bar will not remain switched on when TV set on Standby. Has to be re-switched using its remote control when TV turned on. Re-setting system using VIERA does not cure fault. Is there a solution or is VIERA defective?

OK, just to clear, sound system turns Off when you switch off the TV, is this correct? If so, do you want to switch Off only TV and not the sound system, if I understand it correctly? Thanks.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Answer to your question is YES. Until recently, sound system has always remained on whenTV has been switched to standby or off.
For your info I am very hard of hearing, so using telephone may not be helpful.

To set up sound system. I switch on Viera, then go to Home Cinema, then use Theater System remote as instructed to activate sound bar. Should not have to do this again unless this remote is set to OFF.

Thanks for the info - have you tried to unplug TV and sound system power cords from wall socket for 10 minutes to reset, meanwhile replug HDMI cable between these units, replug power cords back in, turn them On and check?

Many thanks. Regret your fix has not worked. Unless you have any further suggestions, propose to halt this investigation as think fault is in Viera system of TV., which requires attention of technician.
